This film is very, very funny, and Brenda Blethyn is brilliant .

Disadvantages:
The farce feels slightly old - fashioned, but that actually makes it more fun in my opinion .

Whoever came up with this absurd story may well have smoking some of their own subject. Grace, a respectable, well-bred leading member of the WI, is widowed and discovers that her late unfaithful husband has left her saddled with huge debts, a re-mortgage and no assets. However, her one talent is gardening, and she specialises in hothouses. When her gardener asks for her help to save a sickly hemp plant, Grace forms a plan to grow one large harvest of cannabis and sell it to pay off her debts. This gives rise to predictable frolics as she attempts to hide her new career from the local residents of the quaint Cornish fishing village, but there are several truly funny moments (watch out for the blazing light from heaven!). However, the film briefly becomes slightly darker when the action transfers to London, and the final showdown looms large in the hothouse. Overall, this film is quirky and surreal enough to be a much better than average film. Brenda Blethyn (Grace) is absolutely wonderful. And above all, it is extremely funny.

This review was far too thin on detail to be useful. Please revise in order to make useful. I am happy to rerate when this is done. Let me know.

Spacing it out slightly would be helpful:)

More detail would have earned a higher rate. Just let me know if you add extra information. Fionaxx
