...This movie version of the original stage show, is breathtaking. Every scene is cram packed full of 19thcentury gothic art. From the outset, as soon as the chandelier lifts to the roof, you know this is somthing special, the only thing thats missing in this film is sarah brightman and michael crawford. there are some stunning scenes, such as the masqurade ball, and the point of no return. audiences are left on the edge of there seat. if you buy this film now its one you will treaseure forever. AMAZING, STUNNING. What more can i say. Andrew lloyd Webber is the best composer in his genre by far. I would recommend this film to anyone, even if you think you don't like opera or musicals you should really watch this film just for the opulance of the sets and costumes and for one of the best performances from Minnie Driver I have seen. BONUS DISC The Making of Phantom of The Opera The cast and crew go behind the scenes of the film and there are the screen tests for Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler, it also shows the amount of work that goes into this sort of production. You will also see the special effects, make-up and costume design, there are hidden features as well. You can enjoy music videos featuring Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman and Cliff Richard.
