Modern SantaFe in Context - An Editorial
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SantaFe is a small urban gem. Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and surrounded by the haunting beauty of the high desert, it truly is a lovely small city--a city well worth visiting. In addition to being the state capital of New Mexico, SantaFe offers visitors marvelous museums, excellent restaurants, and the vitality of a vibrant artists' community. Its historic 17th-century Plaza still serves its original purpose well, providing an attractive and effective focus for much of the city's political, cultural, commercial, and religious activity.
So, why can't I embrace this lovely city? What's not to like? What's my problem? My problem is that the SantaFe of today, for all its very ...
Recently my friend and I decided to treat ourselves by dining at SantaFe, a New Mexican variation restaurant based in Reading, Berkshire. It has an optimum spot on The Riverside within Reading's Oracle Shopping Centre and offers outside seating for that Al Fresco experience or inside dining amongst their reasonably bright and exuberant interior settings - definitely adhering to the vibrancy of the Mexican atmosphere. We chose to go into Reading on a Saturday night planning to eat around 9pm so we were expecting things to be reasonably busy.
There are a total of several other SantaFe restaurants located across the country, others placed within Birmingham, Bluewater, Nottingham and Portsmouth and although each venue is supposed to be slightly different in style and décor they are quoted as offering the same levels of service ...
Hyundai SantaFe----2.4 CDX (petrol)
Now you wonder why would I go for a 4x4 well try spending a winter in Livingston then you will see. Last January we had some major snow fall and because I work in Edinburgh I tend to drive in. Well I had a Hyundai Coupe and let me tell you that car did not like the snow . Looked out my window in the morning and the snow was about 6/7 inch deep.
Tried to get it out of the street with no luck so had to take the day off work. That's when I decided I would get the 4x4.
I went to my local Hyundai dealer as they have provided me with excellent service in the past and explained to them my dilemma. They suggested the 4x4 SantaFe. So took it out for a spin and loved it straight away it got off it's mark quick enough this is important for me as I stay in a place with lots of roundabouts so pick off ...
Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagan, and Olivia de Havilland star in this lofty Western about the cavalry officers responsible for capturing abolitionist John Brown (Raymond Massey). As a penalty for fighting fellow classmates days before graduating from West Point, Jeb Stuart (Errol Flynn), George Armstrong Custer (Ronald Reagan), and four friends are given a dangerous assignment. They're sent to Fort Leavenworth (aka "bloody Kansas territory"), where Brown and his posse of sharpshooting crusaders have camped out. These well-schooled calvary officers play a drawn-out game of cat-and-mouse with Brown's brigade--but the battle at Harper's Ferry is sure to be John Brown's last.
