Advantages: Histerically Funny Disadvantages: Might not be your taste
...I have always enjoyed watching stand up and happily spend many evenings with the other half, falling asleep giggling to something silly. My favourite comedians include, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Jim Davidson, Lee Evans and Tim Minchin.
While browsing through HMV a few weeks ago, making a few usual impulse buys in the hope of finding something good, I spotted Russell Howard's "Live" DVD. The name rang a bell and I briefly remembered seeing a 2 minute clip of Russell on youtube and finding it funny. So the DVD was brought for 9.99.
If you have never seen Russell Howard before or seen any of his material, I can only describe him as being hysterically funny with a boyish charm. His youthful physical appearance, accompanied by a very cheeky grin really add to the already funny material he produces. He is very active and almost hyper...

Advantages: Well acted, keeps you engaged throughout Disadvantages: None
...LivingIn Oblivion is a low budget independent film written and directed by Tom DiCillo and starring Steve Buscemi and Dermot Mulroney.
Sure, these aren't A-list stars, but that lends itself to the story. The film takes place during one day on set of a low budget movie, and documents all the problems that the director, Nick (Buscemi), and everyone else can encounter, from equipment malfunctioning to office politics to actors forgetting their lines. It's almost like a documentary, it is very realistic and gives you the complete story as to what it's like trying to get a film made.
There are a few...

Advantages: Really funny and packed full of interesting places. Disadvantages: None
...!) Although the way he does it he could probably get away with swearing at the Queen! If there were such a thing as the 'best swearer', the 'Big Yin' would be it, without question!
Anyway, the tour kicks off on the South Island of NewZealand, In Invecargill, (which is apparently is the southern most city in the world), where Billy dons a leather jacket (complete with 'too old to die young' and a picture of a skull wearing glasses on the back!) Gets on his Harley Davidson trike and sets off on his amazing journey. Along the way there's laughter (lot's of laughter!), fascinating insights into the cultures, people, Maori traditions, fantastic scenery, and wonderful stories from across the Country. With live shows mixed in with exploration and tales of old, it's never dull!
Episode 1.
Stewart Island is the first stop on Billy's map, which...
