Advantages: Hilarious and he's gorgeus! Disadvantages: If your offended easily
...,i realised he could give any of us a run for our money on 'the weakest link'!
I decided to buy this dvd as I knew it was right up my ally.
I got it on ebay for roughly 9.00p and recieved it about 3 days later.
Its rated 18,and I can certainly see why.
Brand generally deals with the subject of embarrasment in this hour long d.v.d filmed at the Shepards Bush Empire.
Its certainly not the type of humour I would sit down and watch with my mum or dad,as you even find yourself cringing at the balls of steel he has to say some things.
I think that you certainly have to be open minded and quite laid back to enjoy his humour.
His humour is NOT racist or prejudice to anyone,by saying you must be open minded and layed back,i mean the fact that he openly talks about sex,sex and more sex!
He talks of using a hoover to erm, enjoy himself...

Advantages: The later part of the show where Brand has settled in and flows well Disadvantages: The start of the show - 15 mins for anything funny!
...Russell Brand is a very funny man. He would be the ideal drinking buddy at the pub, however his stand up DVD is quite possibly the most dissapointing stand up show I have seen. I am a fan of stand up comedians such as Lee Evans and Peter Kay - Obviously I was not expecting quite the same thing however I did expect better.
Judge for yourself but Brand seems nervous for the first half of the show and fails to find his feet on the stage and develop a string of comedy that links together well.
The second half of the show is much better and shows Brand\'s potential. The section where he analyses articles in the paper is very funny and brings out the best in Brand which is more obvious on things like \'Big Mouth\' and his Radio 2 podcast.
Worth a watch as there are a few laugh out loud parts but I can almost guarantee that you...

Advantages: Very funny Disadvantages: There are no real surprises
...I got this DVD for Christmas, I love Russell Brand. I think he's very funny and I watched all of his shows, so this was a perfect present for me.
It was filmed live at the Shepard's Bush Empire and it ran for about 60mins. The topic of this show was generally about 'shame' and how Russell always manages to embarrass himself in any situation.
It's the usual energentic, self-depricating and flamboyant humour but instead of being in short bursts in his show it is a 60minute long version.
If you are not a fan of Russell Brand or are not too sure of him, I'm not sure this DVD would be for you as it is very typical of his humour, lots of rude bits and some things which are downright silly. It's mainly filled with anecdotes of things that have happened to him, like his holiday memories (the embarrasing bits), being insulted by rock...
