Advantages: Fast paced action film Disadvantages: Lots of swearing and violence
...a rental DVD I thought Running Scared looked really good and promptly added it to my online rental list. I quickly forgot about the film and when it turned up I couldn't remember why I had added it straight away (this happens with me a lot!) From the trailer it looked like an entertaining thriller and something that I'd enjoy. In the opening credits we see Joey Gazelle (Paul Walker - The Fast and the Furious, Into The Blue, Timeline) getting into ... ...it fast paced and entertaining. If anyone is wondering about the title then it relates to scene at the end of the film…
The cheapest I found Running Scared for was £7.95 on DVD.co.uk. It can also be found on Amazon Marketplace and eBay for even less. ...

After seeing the trailer of this film on a couple of DVD's I decided to be on the lookout for this film. I was in luck, there was a sale on in Musiczone and I decided to buy it. I can't remember the exact price but it was something like a fiver.
After seeing that Paul Walker was in it I was more enthused to get this because he is one of my favourite actors because he is versatile and can play any role as good as another.

Advantages: Paul walker (showing he can act) violence a film willing to push it a little Disadvantages: direction can be a little jaring
The Film.
This is a real surprise film Paul Walker (who i think is fine as an actor) really goes for it in this violent film. The film is fast paced with strong direction (which my put people off) the story is interesting with plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested (this is not a paint by number Paul walker teen pleasing film)
i don't want to spoil the story so i will be brief in talking about the it. The film follows Joey Gazelle (Paul ... ...the weapons only instead of getting rid of them he keeps them, this is not a good idea when the kid next door (Cameron Bright) likes looking round your house with your son....
The picture is good and has a real dirty feel to it making you feel part of the nasty areas of the city.
The sound is fine nothing stand out but it does the job.
over all its an excellent film (silly but excellent) so please don't be put off by the thoughts that it might ...

Advantages: Great film Disadvantages: none i can find.
...the philosophers stone. Harry is given an invisability cloak for christmas and when he wears it he cannot be seen and Harry doesn't get on with Malfoy another pupil at the school. I don't want to tell you any more about the film in case you are one of the few people who haven't sen it yet and I wouldn't want to ruin it for you.The film is rated P.G but I think some younger children will be scared of it as some parts can be quite loud and are set in the dark. The dvdruns for approximately 146 minutes.
The DVD also comes with a second disc which contains special features. You could go on a tour of hogwarts. Visit the library and also attend classes, this part is great. The second disc also contains deleted scenes from the film.
I have read the books and I watched the film and I noticed that there are some parts of the book missing and other parts...

Advantages: Watch It All Day! Disadvantages: its animatedso not a good a it could have been
...a spider, will run away from a spider and be extreamlly scared of something that isnt that scary! Another good reason about this dvd is that its an animation. This can always be a good thing because if a child gets scared of something that they see on the dvd, you can always tell them ''its only a cartoon, it isnt real!''...always an advantage when you have small children!
BAD??
Could this dv be such bad thing? Do you not see it as a child friendly animation which entertain your child for most of a rainy day?..Some people might agree with you.
As its an animation series children could get confused as to whats really and whats not. Isthere really such thing as a spider that comes out of a plug hole a is friendly with a small child..There obivously isnt as this is made up, but would a child the age of 4 or 5 know this? Imagin next time...

...images of mundane items such as computer consoles have been enhanced to unbelievable levels.
The voices of the characters are by actors with Donald Sutherland as Doctor Sid and Ming-Na as Aki Ross and Alec Baldwin also featuring as the voice of Captain Gray Edwards.
Released by Columbia Pictures, running time is 102 minutes and it is classified PG. It is possible that the Phantoms could possibly scare younger children. As usual with a DVD today, two discs are enclosed. The second disc contains documentaries on the making of the film and the usual round of interviews with the makers. I paid £14.99 from Asda for this film but as usual I’m sure if you look around that someone, somewhere will have it cheaper.
You will probably have realised by now that I like this film, in fact I have to admit to being totally mesmerised...

DVD Description
Paul Walker (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS) plays Joey Gazelle, a low-level Mafia thug, who finds himself in the middle of a drug deal gone wrong, equalling a hail of gunfire and some dead undercover cops as the net result. Fleeing from the scene, Joey steals one of the revolvers, used to kill the cops and stashes it in his own basement, in the chance that it may one day prove useful against his own gang. Unfortunately, Joey's 10-year-old son, Nicky (Alex Neuberger) and his best friend, Oleg (Cameron Bright), see where the weapon is hidden. Oleg, whose Russian mob-connected stepfather is physically abusive towards him and his mother, steals the gun to exact revenge. Shooting his father in the shoulder, he runs away with the gun. This forces Joey to embark on a nightmarish 18-hour race to locate Oleg and the gun before his own gang, the Russian Mafia, or bad cop, Detective Rydell (Chazz Palminteri). In a film dedicated to directors Sam Peckinpah, Walter Hill, and Brian De Palma in the closing credits, Kramer splatters the screen with a level of violence that would make those masters proud. Drained of bright colours, stylish, and feverishly fast-paced, RUNNING SCARED is one bloody thrill-ride.
