Just to prove I can do a positive review.....

This is, without a doubt, the funniest film I have seen in so long I can't remember what (if anything) was funnier!
Simon Pegg is absolutely perfect as the titular Fat Boy (not his prefered description...), Thandie Newton is a (very) yummy Mummy and Hank Azaria is perfect as the pompous American ass. The supporting cast are all superb too - take a look at IMDB for them.
I must admit that I was a little unsure what to expect when I found out that David 'Friends' Schwimmer was the director. But I needn't have worried - he shows a very deft touch with the material, especially as some of it is very unique to British humour.
The story is not complex and I won't go into it for fear of spoilling. Suffice to say that even though you can see some of the jokes coming a mile off (or should that be 26 miles off...) it is still very, very, funny. The minor characters contribute enormously to the whole thing even though they are somewhat stereotypical in most cases.
It would not surprise me if in a few years Pegg is being compared to the likes of Milligan & Sellars et al, in terms of Brtish comedy greats.

So did I like it - YES, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Sorry to shout... but it is that good, IMHO. Ladies, you might want to practice your Kegels before you watch....
