Rumour Has It, released on DVD in 2005, follows a female in her mid-twenties named Sarah Huttinger as she tries to find her true identity.
After agreeing to marry boyfriend Jeff, Sarah becomes hesitant and worries that marriage may not be the right thing for her at this time in her life. It is clear in the movie that Sarah struggles to relate to her family, feeling like the 'odd -one -out'. Her family mainly consists of her sister, (Mena Suvari), her father, (Richard Jenkins), and her grandmother, (Shirley MacLaine), she sadly, does not have a mother.
The whole movie follows Sarah, as she hopes to find out more about her family, where she came from, how they lived, and one issue seems to be that Sarah is seeking to find her real father.
I, on a personal note, feel that this was not the best of films. It did, however, have some funny aspects, yet was at times, extremely confusing.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
