Rough Science - Series 1 DVD

Advantages: continuation of the hit film 'Stargate'
Disadvantages: occasional dissapointing episodes

As those in the uk are unable to obtain the complete series one, this dvd pack is ideal. the episodes are generally very good, with humor science historical information aswell as action. the characters are loveable and this is only the first part in the series' seventh season. i found the dvd to be quite good, and the episodes just as. an essential buy for any stargate sg1 fans... Advantages: Excellent Series
Disadvantages: It is best to watch the original movie first

...You may remeber the original Stargate film from 1996 starring James Spader. This series follows on from the film. The series mixes science fiction with fantasy and history. It seems we were visited by aliens many years ago who colonised our world and built a stargate in Eqypt, other planets were colonised as well and stargates were left on these worlds. The stargate is a transportation device. The baddies in the film all have an eqyptian feel to them and include Seth among others. The SG1 team is sent forth to explore these new world open up treaties and defeat the ancient evil overlords.... Read review

Advantages: It's Friends!!
Disadvantages: It's the last series

...This box set is a must for any Friend's fan. I bought this particular box set because it is small and saves a lot of space (it's no bigger than two DVD's). I suppose there is no point in me telling you the plot because I think everyone knows what happens by know! All of the plot lines are finally wrapped up with happy endings all round. I would recommend getting this for the gag reel alone. It is a lot longer than on many other DVD's, ( it lasts roughly about 10mins) and is genuinely funny. Also, I think it works out better value to buy the box set reather than the individual DVD's (ie Series 10 Episodes 1-4), and as it is the last Series of Friends its one you gotta have!!...
