Some people hate Noble, some people love him. It depends on your humour. If you love a guy who fucks up but goes along with it and then starts to go off about something completely different before going back to the point... then this DVD is for you. If you love the moments ... ...your delight. You have Ross commenting on his performance & to go one further hes gone a commentary on commentary. A little weird yes, but he comments on the comments he made on the original commentary just a little louder so you can hear it. And just in case your Cantonese there is also a Cantonese translation commentary. I stumbled upon Ross Noble at a mates house bash. His parents were out and there was lots of alcohol. Anyway that was his first DVD which inspired me to buy the second. Some people hate Noble, some people love him. It depends on your humour. If you love a guy who fucks up but goes along with it and then starts to go off about something completely different before going back to the point... then this DVD is for you. If you love the moments where your drinking a nice soda and end up spiting it everywhere with laughter and your sides hurt... again this is for you. The laughter starts straight away with Noble's own piracy warning, and then you're treated to one of his songs if you wish. He even went as far as making his own story about a 'Radioactive Kung Fu Fridge Boy and monkey Slayer'. Some of his rambles are brilliant, whether it be his own sequel to Billy Elliott, Angel Delight or looking for faces in muffins. Yes muffins! There are a fair amount of extras included for your delight. You have Ross commenting on his performance & to go one further hes gone a commentary on commentary. A little weird yes, but he comments on the comments he made on the original commentary just a little louder so you can hear it. And just in case your Cantonese there is also a Cantonese translation commentary. Over extras include Ross on the Jack Dee Apollo show and a muffin game where you try to identify the face of the celebrity hidden in the muffin. All in all a very good DVD with extreme extras to please the majority. Go out and buy it. 9.5/10
Advantages: Hilarious, Stylish box, Long running time Disadvantages: The "here comes Noble" song
...comedy DVD's. 144 minutes of Ross Noble on-stage time. If you don't know anything about Ross Noble's stylings then let me try and explain him briefly as best I can. He tends to start with a story then wander completely off from it, eventually finding his way back at the very end of his set. He doesn't seem to have a rehearsed set and prefers to interact with the crowd then offer the audience insight in to his odd way of viewing the world. I can confirm, ... ...highlights of the set include:
Celebrity faces in muffins... "there's a face, next muffin"
Bt Friends and pets service.. "17p a day"
Old german oompah dancer."you really are very german Franz"
Summoning the Demon.... "Least menacing demon ever, he sounds like Blakey from on the buses"
The extras
The muffin game: This is amusing for a few minutes but it really doesn't add anything to the DVD. I suspect Noble threw it in for his own amusement. ...
