A three floor house with CCTV in every room, a lift, and a panic room.
Wow how amazing. Now, their first night in the house they end up getting broken into by three men who are after a certain something in the house. And the three men thought the house was empty so they broke in - but when they found out there was someone living in the house, 2 of the 3 men set out to kill them, just so they could get what they were after.
The noise of the men in the house woke the mother, so she checked out the CCTV to find the men wandering about her house, but when she tries to escape the men chase her up the stairs. She runs for her daughter in the top floor then gets the lift back down, and they end up hiding in the panic room, where they can get ...

Advantages: Unique insight into al-Jazeera. Disadvantages: Possibly one-sided.
Two men are sitting in a newsroom having a conversation. One of them asks "Who is going to stop the United States?". The older man, the kind of genial man you wouldn't mind having over for dinner, looks straight at him, and without hesitation replies, ""The United States is going to stop the United States. I have absolute confidence in the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. people." This is a remarkable statement. Not for what it says, but rather who is saying it. The man is a reporter for al-Jazeera, the news station almost constantly condemned by the US government and recently censored and shut down in the new, free Iraq.
Control Room is full of moments like this, and they are more than welcome. The film raises more issues than just the al-Jazeera one, but that is where the heart of the film lies. The channel has been almost ...
