This film is a very unusual musical, It is a mixture between the genres of musical, horror and sifi. It features such talents as : meat loaf (playing Eddi) [kinda ironic that they eat him] Tim Curry (playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter) Jonathan Adams (playing Dr. Everett Von Scott) Susan Saran-don (playing Janet Weiss) Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors) and a few others,
The story is based in Transylvania (pretty much where all scary movies were based in the 70's).
It's definitely worth buying and making time to watch it, but be warned there is a very small amount of exposure of bre**ts making it unsuitable for children,
the basic story is :
a man and his fianceé go for a 'night out', when one of there tiers burst in the middle of know where in the pouring rain they decide to go and try to find a phone they could use (this was made before mobile phones were wisely used). They get to a mansion where a bunch of bikers are having a party to celebrate Frankie finding the secret of life. they have fun till Dr.von scott a rival scientist tries to change there way of life. I'd recommend spending a maximum of £7 on this DVD
Tim Curry's character is an alien from the planet transsexual (the land of night) hences the song 'sweet transvestite'
other songs include but are not limited to in this film are : Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul by meat loaf Eddie's Teddy sang by Jonathan Adams Don't Dream It - Be It sang by Tim Curry
