...down to watch as much Rocky as we could. And surprise, surprise i remembered that i really enjoyed them the first time around and have now got through all 5. HISTORY --------------- Rocky was the creation of relatively unknown actor Sylvester Stallone, He based the character on Chuck Wepner who fought Muhammad Ali in 1975 and managed 15 rounds. He did actually manage to knock Ali down. And only lost in the last 15 seconds. Wepner did sue stallone ...
...into super stardom. The original Rocky film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won 3 of them including best picture. Stallone directed all but 2 of the 5 films which surprised me! ...the story begins as we see rocky balboa a lowly fighter from a rough backround gets the shot of a lifetime,a world heavywieght shot against the world heavyweight champ Apollo Creed.Can rocky overcome all odds and overcome this challenge? The rest of the films follow the italian stallion on a long road through crisis of confidence, marriage trouble, death, and amazing fight scenes. This is definately, in my opinion, the best series of films ever made, i challenge anyone not to enjoy at least one of the films in the series as the rocky box set does indeed have something for everyone. A masterpiece that should be enjoyed by everyone young and old the soundtrack will actually give you goosebumps and make you want to run for miles (maybe!) so in conclusion, who ever you are, where ever you are from, this is a must... Advantages: The best boxing films of all time!
Disadvantages: Rocky 5 could have been better...

...Rocky Balboa (AKA The Italian Stallion) is probably the most famous fictional boxer ever created! Written (2, 3 and 4 also directed) by Stallone himself, the Rocky Anthology is one of the greatest stories ever to be made into film! It's not all boxing, and has some rather tear jerking moments, such as his son being born. Short film overview:- Rocky Rocky Balboa is an amateur boxer and a debt collector on the side. He isn't very intelligent and his speech is slow. But he is a tough boxer, and has never broken his nose! He has grown a liking to his best friend's (Paulie) sister (Adrian), who is extremely shy. ...Overview This box set is called Rocky Anthology which is one of my favourite film franchises. It is also one of the biggest films of Sylvester Stallon's career. This box set includes Rocky 1-5 however does not contain Rocky 6 which is the final film in the franchise, so if you want the whole collection I suggest you do not get this box set and go for "Rocky - The Complete Saga" box set which contains all Six films. Sylvester Stalone is both writer and star of all 6 Rocky films. Cast Sylvester Stallone (Rocky Balboa) Rocky started off as a loan shark at the same time he was a small time boxer.
