Rocky IV is in most people’s eyes the greatest of the long-running saga involving Stallone as a gifted boxer who comes from nothing to become the world champion. Dolph Lundgren stars in this one as the evil Russian boxer in a real cold war classic style plot – the boxer from the Eastern Bloc has a real hatred for all things American, capitalism etc. and in even more stereotypical fashion the huge Drago as he is named in this film is often injected with copious quantities of anabolic steroids. Despite all the cliches in the plot the backbone of the film – the fight scene which occupies the last half-hour and is what everyone is really waiting for – gets you involved and living the dream with Rocky.
