Advantages: has that feel good factor Disadvantages: no one can be as thick as Rocky!!
Sylvester Stallone returns as Rocky Balboa in this sequel to the hit 1976 blockbuster Rocky.
Imaginatively titled Rocky II, the story continues from the end of his historic fight with Apollo (Carl Weathers). Having made his point and a few dollars Rocky is advised not to fight again for fear of losing the sight in his right eye. Apollo has other ideas ...
Having won the fight on points the World Champion boxer is receiving hate mail. He knows the ... ...once and for all that Rocky was just lucky last time. With this in mind he starts goading the now retired underdog.
Meanwhile Rocky has spent all his money, married the love of his life and even managed to produce offspring. Desperate for money (he gets sacked from working in a meat packing plant!) and tired of the constant public jibes coming his way he goes back to his trainer Micky (played by Burgess Meredith) to help him get his own back.

Advantages: Continues the themes of the original well Disadvantages: A bit slow to start with
...stands out as the best Rocky film to me, possibly because it was the first one that I saw. All of the cast return for this sequel, with Apollo desperate for a rematch with Rocky to prove that he can beat 'this bum'. Rocky is less keen on the idea of a rematch. He has Adrienne now, and she's having his baby. He tries to make money elsewhere, doing commercials, going back to work with dead carcasses, but we all know that he's really a boxer! Adrienne ...

Rocky II, The second out of the six, If you have not seen the first Rocky this film might be hard to understand but it will still be a good film and worth watching, The main story of Rocky II is that Apollo Creed the guy Rocky had to fight in Rocky one wanted a rematch because he said Rocky was just lucky and this time he is going to show him who is champion, So Rocky agrees and its training time for Rocky again, He also gets married to the love ... ...really angry and he wants Rocky dead! he told him that he wont last long this time, but Rocky was also ready for it he had been training to box with his right hand because he normally fights left handed ( Southpaw Jinx) this was to confuse Apollo, The same happens again really with Apollo beating rocky but this time Rocky has an amazing last round they were both tired out by this point and they both went down for the count at the same time, But Rocky ...

Advantages: Exilarating, finetic. A truely emotional experience. Disadvantages: Similar idea to the first.
...manager Mickey (Burgess Meredith). Also Rocky has the pressure from his one true love Adrian (Talia Shire). Should he live his dream and fight for the title, or listen to the wishes of a woman he cares so much about?
Many un-predictable twists and turns are produced in the film, which makes it suh an epic story. Rockey love for Adrain and boxing are on he line with many obsticles on the line. Rockey has a choice to make, but will it be the right ... ...all those tol in life that they could'nt do it. Advantages: training sequences, music Disadvantages: first 30 mins.
The Rocky films since the oscar winning ROCKY I, have all stuck to one set genre and format. This format has made the series exactly what it is - abunch of "let's get pumped, let-me-at-em" films. This format was all born from Rocky 2, which is why the title is the best of the lot. From the very second Talia Shire urges Rocky over to her bedside to tell him just one more thing you know something great is about to happen. WIN.....WIN Rocky WIn! "What ...

Advantages: Good movie, well worth a look at the hidden extra's Disadvantages: None really
...the idea of hidden extra's. It seems that many dvd's have them, it's just a matter of finding them. So far Snatch, Independence day, Resevoir Dog's, Alien, Austin Powers 2, Gladiator, Raging Bull and Rocky Horror Picture Show have been featured in the magazine. They are also featured in DVD Monthly dated April 26th. However if you want me to pass any on, leave a comment, and I'll be glad to....

Advantages: Great extras featured on this two disk DVD set. Disadvantages: Not as many behind the scenes extras as a RHPS fan would like.
.... Meatloaf makes a stunning, if a little brief appearance as Eddie, the ex-delivery boy. His performance of "Hot Patooti" is surely one of the highlights of the film. Jonathon Adams is amusing as Dr. Everett Von Scott (shame about the accent though!) and finally the late Charles Grey is wonderful at setting the scene as The Criminologist.
The extras on this 2 disk DVD set are very enjoyable - particularly the audio commentary by Richard O'Brien and Patricia Quinn. The Rocky Horror Video Show documentary takes a satisfying look at the creation of the film istelf, featuring interviews with the people who made it all happen. Although there are some nice little cast and crew interviews and other little extras that give the viewer a different look at the whole Rocky Horror phenomenon, it still doesn't provide enough exclusive 'behind the scenes' info...
