I wasn't rocking out too much to this

Advantages: cool outfits, the actual band were in the film
Disadvantages: cheesy, ott, only really for Ramones fans

I got given this dvd for Christmas around 6 years ago. I recently found it in my dvd collection so I thought I would watch it again. Rock?n?Roll High School is a comedy/musical and is set in 1980 in a school in America. The main story is based around one of the pupils, Riff Randell. She is a very big rock?n?roll fan, especially music by The Ramones. Riff tries to bring music to the school and pupils by taking over the schools speaker system and playing Ramones music through it, and also by changing the music tapes in her gym class. The new head teacher of the school is convinced that rock?n?roll music is bad for the pupils and that it rots their brains. The King of Rock 'N Roll?

Advantages: Great head banging action to be had!
Disadvantages: Some tracks a bit repetitive

Being a supporter of the band HIM - and back in the day a little bit of an obsessive fan, it must be said - I went to see them live as a late birthday present. Their guitarist, dread locked and extremely thin, Mikko Lindstrom, to me, stole the show; his edgy, passionate guitar riffs simply made the performance and kept the fans driven all night long. Upon my return from my live experience, I began to get more interested in the band, learning about their inspirations and stories from life on the road. Then, I heard about a HIM side project called 'Daniel Lioneye', the band's 'sleaze rock' record. Curious, I soon got the album. Lets just say I was shocked at what I was hearing... Review of King Of Rock 'n' Roll, The - Daniel Lioneye

Catchy rock n roll with various styles

Advantages: Fun music, fun lyrics
Disadvantages: A bit rude

Rock N Roll Cleopatra is a compilation album of some of Wayne/Jayne County's finest tracks. The album tends to focus on Wayne County pre-sex change years and full conversion to Jayne. Wayne was an interesting chap who took part in the famous Stonewall Inn riots, was an influential figure on Daid Bowie's Diamond Dogs tour and album, was an integral part of the early punk rock scene and worked as a DJ at CBGB's. O Often seen as a bit of a novelty act, I think that Wayne County & The Electric Chairs were highly under-rated and this album churns out enjoyable track after track often in various styles. The album shows a great range of styles, emotions and most of all in a light-hearted enjoyable humurous albeit somewhat crass way.
