Blue Sky Studios have teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox and as a result produced another brilliant film! It is loaded with guest stars including Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Greg Kinnear, Mel Brooks, Drew Carey and Robin Williams. It was directed by the stars Chris Wedge and Caelos Saldanha.
| Story Line |
The film starts by introducing to you a young robot called Rodney Copperbottom who lives in Rivet Town. His dad, I'm not sure of his name, is fitted to be a dishwasher at a local restaurant. Rodney's hero is BigWeld, the president of BigWeld Industries of Robot City. BigWeld Industries mainly just make stuff for other robots, including spare parts. Rodney himself is a budding young inventor, and creates a little flying robot that will make his dad's job so much easier. He takes his design to the restaurant his dad works at and after a while his dad lets the robot have a go. It truly does make his dad's job a lot easier. But then his dad's boss come in and starts ranting and raving rather loudly. The little flying robot gets scared and starts trashing the kitchen.
Rodney decides that his idea might be welcomed by BigWeld and leaves to pursue a career as an inventor.
When he arrives at BigWeld Industries, all is not as it was on TV. BigWeld Industries no longer makes spare parts, so now, if you get brocken, you gotta buy a whole new upgrade. Rodney doesn't like the idea of this, so he starts using his natural tallent to fix brocken robot. Of course, the new guy in charge of bigWeld Industries doesn't like this. So he decides to take action, but this isn't the kind of "let's write a polite letter" kind of action, this is the kind of "it's time to put a stop to this. Permanently" kind of action.
| Summary |
Well, no matter what your looking for, this will probably fit the bill. This film will fall into all of these categorys: comedy, action, love, family, drama, thriller and probably a load more. If you are right now considering buying this DVD, all I can say is this: DO IT! It is such a good DVD, with many extra features like interactive menus, widescreen version, Dolby Digital:DTS and subtitles in English, Bahasa, Chinese and Thai.

Review of I, Robot (DVD)
Advantages: Original, entertaining and funny (at times it's "laugh out loud" funny too) !!! Disadvantages: Way too short ... the extras on this DVD are actually longer than the main feature !!!
