... you've been playing the computer game of the film for many years before the film is released, the lead actor is replaced, the certificate is dropped from 18 to 15, ...
After enjoying the first two installments (underage, oops!), I was really looking forward to this one. But, by the time it was released, I already knew the plot from the computer game and wasn't very impressed. I've since seen it once more on TV (I must have been desperate!), but it just doesn't do anything for me. The acting is nothing special, the effects are average for today and all of the submersive, dark and satirical elements introduced by Mr. Showgirls (Paul Verhoeven) in his classic dystopian vision have been discarded onto the scrap pile and replaced something that fails on all levels. They should have left it at two, and concentrated on the TV series (which was aimed at a different audience).
RoboCop? More like RoboCra*.
