Sherwood, many viewers were understandably confused. Michael Praed left the series for reasons that never really became apparent while Jason Connery clearly wasn't a replacement chosen for similar looks or performance. Across the 13 episodes of the third series, Connery's choice became slowly apparent. The magical stories frequently dipped into darker territory as much as they aimed for uplifting humour. The new Hood was at ease with both, while reuniting the merry band and ultimately wooing the fair Marion all over again. Connery turned in a very confident embodiment of the character, clearly bonding well with the established team of actors. Guest stars lined up to contribute alongside him. Memorable appearances include those of Richard O'Brien, David Rappaport, Matt Frewer, Patricia Hodge, Ian Ogilvy and Lewis Collins. (It's fascinating to speculate how different things could have been if the close-second casting choice of Neil Morrissey had been pursued.) The strangest aspect of the series, however, is knowing inretrospect that everyone's confidence and merriment was for nothing. Scripts were written in readiness for the fourth series, but then the studio went bankrupt. Cliffhangers therefore remain that will confuse viewers far more than the lead's replacement. --Paul Tonks

~~~
As well as the three episodes, each DVD is packed full of extras, which are in the main fascinating.
~~Mono Track~~
On both discs you have the chance to play the programs with the original mono track, I'm not sure why anyone would actually want to do this though, as it sounds so much better in stereo.
~~Commentaries~~
Jason Connery (Robin), Mark Ryan (Nasir) and Clive Mantle (Little John) provide commentaries toepisodes 1,2,4 and 5. These were great fun to listen to, as they relived their memories, and shared jokes with each other.
~~Music Only Tracks~~
Three episodes can be viewed with only the music playing (episodes1,3 and 5), these showed just how wonderfully atmospheric the music is and how important it is to the actual program.
~~Stills Gallery~~
A vast collection of photos from the season spread over ...
This tv series tryed to tell what many thought of as the original Robin hood story before hollywood got hold of it.Micheal Praed stars as a belivable robin whos up against guy of gisborn and the evil sheriff of nottingham trying to protect his friends and there family from the soilders,this series was beautifully shot and has the most amazing soundtreck to acompany it.The actual episodes are strongly based around the pagan belifs of the time which make it much more belivable and it far outways the recent robin hood series on many levels.The cast where amazing regulars such as ray winstone helped make the series famous while in nearly every episode you will spot a very young familar face in one of there first roles.Although its getting on now this is probably the best attempt at robin hood there has been its realistic beautifully shot ...
Advantages: Nice to see what the 1980s thought of the 2010s are like Disadvantages: None
one movie - starting in 2015, then moving back to 1985 and ending in 1955. It is even better in my opinion that it didn't "end" properly but instead remains unfinished so the audience had to wait for the 3rd part.
--- CONCLUSION ---
BTTF2 is an excellent film. It may not be as good as the second one but is still definitely up there with the best of the sci-fi films. Its portrayal of the future may not be accurate but they got most of the things - only disappointingly predicting that everyone would still use payphones which would be ubiquitous by 2015. Other than that the film poses a lot of intriguing questions about time travel (see my BTTF1 review) and seeing the 1980's believe into what the future holds is definitely entertaining.
