The best Doctor Who yet!
Review of Doctor Who - Series 3 Vol.4 DVD by rhuaridh

Advantages: Excellent pace, acting, directing, music. Will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Disadvantages: A couple of cheesy alien side-kicks, and a slightly unbelievable future.

...The Doctor Who season 3 finale is definitely one to watch. Combining an excellent story along with brilliant acting, directing and music, too make it a thrilling 2 hours of entertainment. This is the first 3-part storyline since Doctor Who was brought back in 2005 and consists of the episodes 'Utopia', 'The Sound of Drums', and 'Last of the Time Lords'. Often Doctor Who episodes can be a little childish and cheesy, but for these 3 the series becomes far more dramatic and tense, becoming arguably the best thing on British Television. For fans of 'Life on Mars', lead actor John Simm makes a superb guest appearance as one of the stories key characters. There is also a notable and splendid appearance by thespian actor Derek Jacobi in the first episode. I'll try not to give too much away about the story as the major twist happens at the end... Advantages: Great film with lots of funny parts
Disadvantages: Not a very long film

...Antz is a brilliant film about an ant that is not happy living in the colony. He gets involved with the pricess and falls in love. After this he decides to swap with his friend for a day and be a soldier ant. During this he is sent into battle by a treacherous ant that wants to take over the colony. All of the ants are killed apart from our hero. He returns to the colony and is a hero. He is taken in front of the queen and recognised by the princess. He is going to be in trouble for making out he is a solidier ant so he kidnaps the princess and leaves the colony. Outside the colony he goes looking for Utopia, ant heaven. He manages to find this with the princess, but to me and you it is a rubbish bin with it's surroundings, but to an ant it is heaven. The princess is captured and returned to the colony where she discovers... Read review

Matrix, pure philosophy
Review of The Matrix DVD by canibalit

Advantages: if choose the red pill
Disadvantages: if choose the blue one

...In the anxious one attended that on May 23 goes out the second film of the series, it almost seems me rightful to speak to you of this masterpiece of the modern science fiction. Besides on an original plot and not taken back by novels of Dick, Asimov or who for them: too much easy to make a film with novels as "The robots dream electric sheep? " from which Blade Runner... I will take for granted that who reads the opinion has already seen the film, of however also looking at the plot knowing him/it already has always the same unmistakable taste and evergreen. We are in the field of the science fiction , the same one of 1984 (Orwell) and Fahrenheit 451 (Bradbury). Memory to such intention that distopia would be for "negative utopia", in practice while in the utopia it is tried to imagine the ideal world, in the distopia... Read review
