John Wayne is a Secret Service agent sent on a mission to help ranchers whose water supply is threatened by a gang of crooks. The Duke wants, nor surprisingly, to foil the baddies and win the girl!
Advantages: Good animation and action Disadvantages: Predictable, average, disappointing
...the over-dramatic use of the words ‘destiny’, ‘fate’ and ‘chosen’ that really annoys me. They’re just so damn cheesy.
They also don’t scrimp on the panning shots of them riding over the hills of – you guessed it – New Zealand. And of course, where would any adventure film like this be without the infamous hero voice. Oh, and how could I forget, the bad make up.
Nothing actually seems to happen; he finds an egg, the egg hatches, dragon grows up, he turns out to be a dragon rider, he kills a the evil guy’s servant, he’s a hero. They manage to stretch that into 104 minutes.
Anyone who’s read the book will tell you that they cut out a lot of the story, but I haven’t read it, so I don’t care as much.
The animation was pretty good, and the actors could act, which is always a plus.
Overall, I would not buy this on DVD, but it was a fun day out...

...I have been a huge fan of Destiny's Child since they came out, way back when there was the original four. Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, La Toya Luckett and La Tavia Robinson. This dvd cleary shows that even now a threesome and they have amazing vibes and chemistry between them.
Their performance in Atlanta, is absolutely brilliant. The crowd is wild in this dvd, Destiny's Child definately have the wow factor. They perform some of their performances before for they were a trio. 'Say My Name' 'Jumpin, jumpin'. Their costumes are beautiful and they match each other. Their dancers in the dvd are amazing, the men are gorgeous and got lovely bodies!! The woman have lovely physics and reall support the group as a band.
There are solo performances from Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle. They involves the gents in the crowd and sing 'Cater...

Advantages: Great acting, Awsome Soundtrack, Very Funny Disadvantages: Weak Story
...The film Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny Is one of the best films i have seen in a long time, if you want to have a quick laugh on the weekend with a bowl of popcorn and a bag of malteasers this is a film to watch.
The story line is about Jack Black and Kyle Gass, The both head to the Rock and Roll History Museum to try and steal the pick of destiny (which ironically is in Angus Young's guitar), The Pick of destiny when used will give suprenatural powers to rock the world!
All the music used in this film is all by Tenacious D which i think is a great addition to the fact that the film is actually all about the band. The way the 2 main characters relationship makes and breaks is excellent, the comedy aspect of the film will have your sides aching.
Good Luck not enjoying this film!...
