Richard And Judy's You Say We Pay DVD

Advantages: Energetic, fun, great music, results look genuine
Disadvantages: Difficult to keep up with

...I saw this on Richard and Judy and it looked great... I'm all for fitness, especially if you can do it from the luxury of your own home... Richard and Judy had her on as they promoted her DVD and the results looked really good... watching the DVD it looked great so i decided to purchase I bought my DVD for about £16 from amazon and it came with bonus DVD 'Stretch and Tone Programme', I was pleased with the purchase and firstly watched both DVD before actually attempting them! I found keeping up with Angela and the dancer (fitness trainer Niki Wibrow) a bit much, they are slow enough to follow but i think a bit too much happens (i.e. too many moves one after the other) and the steps are not always clear enough... i did try it a few times (honest!) but haven't really had much luck... but as Angela reminds us on the DVD if you don't get... Advantages: A wonderful fantasy adventure for all ages a family favourite
Disadvantages: only a disadvantage to those that don't like musicals

...~~ The Wizard of Oz ~~ Still going through my collection of musicals and I have quite a few more yet to review; I came across one of my all time favourites The Wizard of Oz. So here goes as I share my thoughts, trivia and description of a timeless classic which is nearly 70 yrs old and still enjoyed by young and old today. ~~ The Film ~~ The film opens in Sepia and we see Dorothy and Toto running down the dirt track under starry skies to her Aunty Em and Uncle Henry's farm. Dorothy tries hard to gain her Aunt and Uncles attention, but gets shooed off out of the way as they are busy. As Dorothy reflects she slips easily into song with Somewhere Over the Rainbow, we move on and get introduced to the three farmhands Hunk, Zeke and Hickory, you also get to see in them the characters that we later grow to love throughout the film. Advantages: Great Acting and storyline
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...she writes in her private journal and this helps to guide the dramatic tone of the film. Judi Dench as always is great. The development of her character from a person who we think is a typically mild mannered school teacher into quite a sinister character combined with the fact that you are not quite sure what she will do next, is well handled and believable, and kept me interested enough to keep watching to see what happened next. Cate Blanchett as Sheba again carries her part well as the young well meaning teacher who is silly enough to allow herself to get into a situation which has the potential to destroy all she cares about. There is a vulnerability to her character, so that although you can't believe the situation that she has wilfully got herself into, you still feel sympathetic towards her.
