Advantages: Something a little different. Disadvantages: A little bit too long.
For some Zombie Flesh Eaters or Zombi 2 as it was known in Italy (as it was a cheap unofficial sequal to Dawn Of The Dead known as Zombi in Italy) was Lucio Fulci's finest hour. I myself think its a good movie, but dont rate it against other Lucio films such as The House By The Cemetery. The film starts of like something very different, a boat drifts into New York Harbour, the Harbour Patrol investigate and get attacked by a rather disgusting and ... ...turning people into Zombies.
Zombie Flesh Eaters was at the forefront of the Video Nasties outrage in the early 1980's and was banned for many years. This movie is now available with very slight trimming maybe a second cut. Advantages: All zombie fans will love this. Disadvantages: The films dub is a little off, but who cares when there's zombies involved.

Advantages: The pinnacle in Italian gore Disadvantages: Nothing
Zombie Flesh Eaters is directed by the prolific Italian director Lucio Fulci. The film opens with an abandoned boat, floating aimlessly on the open water that surrounds Manhattan. From that poetic opening comes an onslaught of classic zombie gore, accompanied by the synthesised keyboard, poor acting and even worse dubbing, and with that this film becomes the top of the mountain in Italian horror. The film follows a womens task to find her father, ... ...they are thrown among a zombie plauge, and must fight through hordes of the undead to uncover the reason for the disaperance of the young womens father. This film, for me, a zombie fanatic, is what the genre is all about. A zombie master class and a film of sheer brilliance. The acting, bad dubbing and story adds to this films character, making it the classic that it is. If you want a film that it clever, with a neatly woven, politically charged ...
