F.O.X – Fox. Joe Fox, how dare he do THAT to ‘The Shop Around The Corner’!! I suppose that for the premise of the film this harsh act had to take place, but it REALLY is a lovely shop. OK, OK, I know it’s only a film, but it’s the only one with Tom Hanks in that I really got miffed at with his character, if only he would make up his mind, nice or nasty? But lets face it, it’s Tom, he HAS to be nice in the end. ...

My initial thought was oh no Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together again. In this film Meg Ryan plays the owner of a small family book store. Tom Hanks plays the owner of a large book store chain that is moving in to compete with Meg Ryan's small operation. Both of the film's main characters live in New York and enjoy their regular online experiences thanks to America On Line. They mainly chat through e-mail. Tom Hanks' character, figures out early on that his online companion is the female owner of a competing book chain. I love romantic comedies, easy going and relaxing to watch, perfect wind down escapism.
