Advantages: It's Yes with Rick Wakemen Disadvantages: sound quality dvd only 60 mins
Great, a DVD of Yes with the classic line-up, with the exception of drummer Bill Bruford, who I think was with King Crimson at the time.
The main problem with this DVD is it's only 60 mins long and the sound quality is a bit like a copy from a VHS. Still, apart from all that we do get to see and hear yes performing in Philadelphea, USA in 1979.
It opens with Siberian Khatru, which is ok, and it then follows with a couple of Anderson choices, which ... ...into its' own with Starship Trooper, which has what can only be described as a contest between Steve Howe on guitar and Rick Wakeman on a portable keyboard instrument. This a definite plus point of this DVD.
I've Seen All Good People and Roundabout follow and are perfomed equally well.
What a shame the DVD is so short. (A bit like this review, I suppose). ...
