i loved the first x-men and could not wait to see this one but i found it a bit slow in places so overall not as good as the first but it does get better as you watch and ends up being a brilliant film . it stars the wonderful patrick stewart (of star trek next generation fame where he played captain piccard ) in this he is playing xavier the head of a school for mutants that is people with special powers i.e the ability to make lightening strike,to ...

You don't need to watch X-Men to enjoy X-2. There are some references to the first movie, but not to the point where you will need to watch it to understand. This movie is the best of its class. The first ten minutes of this movie captivates its audience into wanting to see what happens next. The special effects are outstanding.
