***THE PLOT***

End), and facial-hairily-challenged Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is in Canada trying to dredge up nuggets of his ... ...knife in the President’s vitals! X-Men to the rather relaxed investigation!
Along with all the other good X-folks (Jean Grey, Cyclops, Rogue, Iceman, Pyro, Storm…the list goes long), Professor X soon finds that his old buddy-slash-nemesis Magneto has spilled his brains to human anti-mutant type Stryker. Soon the entire X-Men program (secretly run by Prof. X in his special school) is under threat, and all the X-Men must team up with all the bad guys ...

==Plot==
Just as the dust had settled and things were getting back to normal, Whitehouse security is breached and there is an unsuccessful assassination attempt on the President of the USA (Cotter Smith) by a mutant that goes by the name of “Nightcrawler” (Alan Cumming). The failed attempt naturally makes the headlines resulting in a ... ...a lot more violent in X-Men 2 than X-men 1, which is a good thing. It seems that Jackman can do no wrong in his role but then Wolverine is a crowd favourite and it is always difficult to criticise your favourites. That said, Alan Cumming is also particularly good as Nightcrawler.
There is also plenty of eye candy, which also helps to keep the audience interested. Once again Famke Janssen looks absolutely stunning, Halle Berry looks great (but in ...

Anyway. This is perhaps the first sequel I’ve ever seen without first seeing the original. ...been sceptical about the original X-men film and ending up pleasantly surprised, I decided to view this sequel with less sceptical eyes and once more was treated to another effect-laden Marvel from director Bryan Singer.
The technical wizardry combined with an all star cast including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and Famke Janssen vividly brings to life one of the most popular of comic book tales.

The second X-Men film starts exactly where the original ended. Bad guy Magneto (Ian McKellen) is still in his plastic prison while Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) continues his mission to bring together ‘normal’ people and Mutants through his school for ‘special’ people.
