The seven West Wing series evolved over time but remained stimulating, witty and hugely enjoyable. There were rumours over the years that the quality of this dream insider view of a liberal Whitehouse administration would deteriorate when creator Aaron Sorkin departed, but it didn't, the writing remained razor sharp throughout.
