Waynes World (DVD)

I like comedy. Despite making me laugh, it creates a unique air of happiness that is unrivalled by all other forms of entertainment. So, logically, something that makes me laugh a lot consistently, is likely to get a big tick in the Ian Book of Good Things. And that, of course, is always good. You'll be quite pleased to know that Wayne's World has attained such a personal accolade on my part, and the tick is scored into the page so hard it shows ...
...that good. Why am I talking rubbish? Well, it made a decent intro now didn't it? OK, so I'm tired and my imagination isn't quite up to scratch, but I'm sure I'll pull through. I know this is an ancient film, but while looking through Sky Anytime, the tv on demand kind of thing on Sky+ and Sky HD boxes I saw they had this. Wayne's World was a smash hit yoof culcha movie a while again which was Mike Myers' baby and what really brought him to the public attention in a big way. I have been quoting from this film since that fateful day in 1992 when I saw it whilst on holiday in the states. I suppose I should really be on about this film, being as it features adults playing teenagers again, but hey, it’s just so funny, I’m going to let this one slide. Prepare to laugh until it hurts, this film is just so funny. Life with Wayne and Garth is just one long party, they have their own cable TV show which is basically a mickey take of all things serious and a homage to rock music. I have seen Waynes world so many times, it's brilliant! I love movies that don't follow any particualr plot, or any particular trend. Like this film.
