Fleecing the Dead
Review of Waking Ned (Wide Screen) by Ophelia

Advantages: Very funny
Disadvantages: None

This was a film, which had been lurking on my 'to watch' list for longer than the iron lady was prime minister, and I finally got around to selecting it in my local video emporium the other night. A british film with a couple of well known names and an enticing plot, it promised to be good but delivered a hell of a lot more than it promised. Sadly, this film will be lost on anyone who doesn't appreciate or understand the eccentric side of being British, and was certainly lost on the American audiences. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of easy to watch comedies or classic British TV comedies. Waking Ned is available on Amazon at the price of £6.97. ... Read review

I watched this film on DVD and it;s a joy to watch, easy and funny with no violence or swearing just good humour. Set on the Isle of Man, pretending to be Ireland the film follows the lives of two friends who realise that there is a lottery winner in their community! Realising the winner 'Ned Devine'has died in his chair from the shock ... Read review
