Advantages: You will treasure the memory of this film. Disadvantages: You may wonder what took you so long to see it.
...SO glad I saw "La Vita E Bella" without any knowledge of the story.
I now have a treasured memory of a magical tale that was mine to discover.
This is truly an exceptional work, and you will never regret owning it.
PS : If you NEED to know more about the plot, or the actors, read one of the other fine opinions on this movie. I believe you'll enjoy the movie MORE if you watch it fresh.
PPS : This movie has generated much controversy, as a reading ... ...from three aspects of the film :
1) The Director/Lead Actor, and preconceived attitudes towards him ;
2) The Setting, and people's attitudes to ANY film dealing with it ; and
3) The Genre, which to some is an inappropriate platform for matters dealing with 2 above.
