...not actually a fan of U2 until I saw this documentary film on TV. I quite liked a few of their previous songs, after seeing U2 perform on 'THE TUBE', a music programme in the early 80s. Being married at the time to a U2 fan, meant that U2 was blasted out most days, and I finally got the message! 'Rattle and Hum' catches U2 in an interesting point in their career, as they ride the success of the Joshua Tree album and experiment with soul, blues and rock 'n' roll. The new songs include collaborations with B.B. King and Bob Dylan, and covers of the Beatles and Jimmi Hendrix. ...to watch.If you are a U2 fan you really do need to watch this as it really shows a great era in there career. Aswell as having great music it also has some great interviews with the band which let you see what there all about in a musical sence. Overall i do highly recommend this to anyone not just U2 fans so if you are a U2 fan but your partner isnt then i think that they will still enjoy this.
