The highlight of the film for me was a twenty second interrogation scene involving Chris penn and Tom Sizemore, taking the mickey out of the bad cop + badder cop scenario. I am really shocked that so many people recommend this movie. I think that 97%(!!!!!) from them recommend it. I'm really wondering why? For its violence? For a Quentin Tarantino screenplay? This has to be one of the most underrated and unheard of films in existence. The title suggests that it is a mushy love story but the fact that it is written by Quentin Tarantino guarantees something more. The cast of the film is brilliant and includes people like Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Val Kilmer, Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. His usual blood baths, guns and gangster type themes are portrayed in a truely different light in this film, and even offers a light hearted love feeling to the whole screenplay. The film stars Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette as two newly weds who become invloved in a battle with the mob and the police as they travel from Detroit to Los Angeles with a suitcase full of cocaine. ...and use he proceeds from the sale to start a new life. The main plot is focussed on the cocaine and the different ideas all the various parties, ie the couple and the gangsters, have for the coke.
