Justice is coming
Review of Tombstone (DVD) by christianfilmcritic

Advantages: Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell
Disadvantages: None

...and rid the town of Tombstone of them once and for all. With the release of Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven" in 1992, and a resurgence in the demand for Cowboy movies, it came as no surprise, when in 1993 Tombstone was released, a Hollywood take on the legendary lives of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. In true Hollywood style, they threw bucket loads of money into the big production and lined up some big names to star. The actual line up is very impressive, ... Read review

Calling Down the Thunder.
Review of Tombstone (DVD) by baddog

Advantages: Solid if not spectacular. When it's good, it's very good.
Disadvantages: Minor errors will keep pedants happy.

...wasn’t even a lawman in Tombstone until deputised by his brother Virgil, just before the gunfight. Virgil was the Marshall who wanted to clean up the town and instigated the incident at the O.K. Corral. Doc Holliday, a former dentist, was a man who lived up to his reputation as a triggerman. Dying from tuberculosis, he was an authentic bad guy. Wanted for murder in several towns and states, he would back down to no one and settled arguments ... Read review

I Am Your Huckleberry
Review of Tombstone (DVD) by Sid76

Advantages: Kilmer's And Russell's Performances
Disadvantages: Badly Directed

...the combination of those three. Tombstone combines two of these three elements, brilliant acting and an interesting script, part mythical and part updated realism. Unfortunately, in the hands of director Cosmatos, this combination produces not magic but, against the odds and Val Kilmer's best acting efforts, a mediocrity. The film begins rather ignoring history. The Tombstone area is controlled by a red scarf-wearing band of 100 outlaws called ... Read review

The story of Wyatt Earp's time in the town of Tombstone
Review of Tombstone (DVD) by blue_alert82

Advantages: Great writing, edge of your seat action, and some hilarious comic scenes
Disadvantages: None

A great movie, and in my opinion it is a must see for any western fan, the performances are spectacular. Kurt Russell gives a fine performance as the tough no nonsense lawman Wyatt Earp and Val Kilmer is sublime as the loveable rogue Doc Holliday. Set in the town of Tombstone, it follows the Earp brothers as they try to make their way in the "New West". Moving storylines go hand in hand with "rootin' tootin" action, with gunfights, saloon brawls, ... Read review
