Review of The Warrior (DVD)

When i saw on the front cover that Zhang Ziyi was a leading character in the Warrior i thought "it must be good". Unfortunately the film was quite to the contrary. The battle scenes were outstanding and gory, but there's simply too much. This is the main focus of the film, not the plot. The Warrior was just that. He killed everything with a pulse. There was little focus on the characters - their history, background etc. By the time you think you ...
...everyone dies, which was very depressing and not heoric. I despised Zhang Ziyi's role as a spoilt and weak princess. I had little sympathy for her and found her pathetic. Such a waste of a very talented actress. Too conclude this film was not defiant, inspirational or memorable. Big disappointment!!!!! ...
