I am unfortunately one of those people that if a film doesn't grab me in the first 10 minutes i tend to lose interest, but this one kept me watching in the expectation of 'something happening in a minute' I did lose interest and found my concentration wandering off and i was planning my daily chores. The Village is the latest offering from director M. Night Shyamalan, who also brought us 'Sixth Sense', 'Signs', and 'Unbreakable'. While I didn't think 'Sixth Sense' lived up to the hype, and 'Unbreakable' was a horror in more ways than one, I was willing to give this a chance because of the fantastic Joaquin Phoenix.
