...told that many people felt the series was too raunchy. However, before the end of the first episode I had cast this scepticism aside and thoroughly immersed myself in the spirit of the show. Aspects of the show may be historically inaccurate; particularly the modern twists to the costumes and the glamorous cast members who look nothing like their portraits but both are thoroughly enjoyable to watch none the less.
