The Terminator (Special Edition) (DVD)

What can I say?, possibly the greatest film of all time on possibly the best DVD yet. It's hard to know where to begin, I mean, the film is perfect, it comes in a double DVD box set which is nicely packaged…it's almost too good. The story is simple enough, basically two individuals from the near future appear in 1984 Los Angeles, both trying to find Sarah Connor - car chases and gun battles ensue, lots of big explosions and nice special effects, ...
...a few careers sky-rocket in the process. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a certain reputation with regards to his films. They seem to have so much mindless violence that it doesn't really require a great deal pf acting on his part…and to an extent this is true of Terminator, but that's the beauty of it…he doesn't really have to say anything - his actions do all the talking. I first watched the Terminator when I was far to young a couple of nightmares later i was a big fan. The atmosphere the film has is incredible, Arnie is at his hardest and was born for this role. He looks walks and talks like a robot with out needing to act so you really can believe he is a Terminator. The film is essentually a cat and mouse affair the seemingly unstoppable terminator being the cat and the future mother of John Conner the savior ...

...did not even care about the special effects when watching it, due to its original and superd plot, and outstanding character casting. Arnold Schwarzenegger is basically the "Terminator" because of this film and the films that followed this film. The DVD box looks good, very stylish and once opened there are two DVDs (disc 1, feature film, disc 2, special features). The special features include deleted scenes (very good), it has different trailers ...
...very interesting, to see how the terminator developed in his mind, it even has stills of the original treatment scripts. Not only can this special features disk be used on a DVD player but it also has DVD-Rom special features, these include the complete final shooting script and the 1983 4th draft script. To me this film is a must have. However if you are not a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger and/or sci-fi films then you may not like it but I feel ...

Basically man has created AI (artificial intelligence) which decided it wanted rid of us pesky humans so it sets off lots of nuclear bombs to eradicate us. But as we normally do humans fight back. So they the AI sent Schwarzenegger back in time (1984) who is a Terminator ...
...mother of the leader of the human fight back and although the big man is not known for his great acting skills he more than fills the part (it helps that he says next to nothing through out the film). But as luck as it humans manage to send Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) back to protect her and predicalably love blossoms (or at least sex happens).
