The Sweetest Feeling
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by JayHall1991

Advantages: Cameron Diaz, Gross Out Funny, Good For A Laugh
Disadvantages: Bad, Bad Film

...who is an expert at the rules of dating. She has stopped looking for Mr. Right and started looking for Mr. Right Now. She loves dancing and is at a good place at the moment. Courtney is an ultra sexy, self centered and arrogant chick, who is also looking for the same as Christina, Mr. Right Now. She gets men right where she wants them and then devours them. Jane sadly is not as such a great place in her life. The minute she gets a man, she becomes ... Read review

If U Like Pina Coladas, Getting Caught In The Rain
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by damncoldnightdotnet

Advantages: Some funny moments, good chemistry between the female leads.
Disadvantages: Gross-Out humour might not be to everybody's taste.

...film review, this time it's the turn of The Sweetest Thing, starring Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair. -- Plot. -- The film is about 3 flatmates - Christina, Courtney and Jane. To help Jane get over her latest dating disaster, the girls go out to a club one night where Christina meets the man of her dreams. Sweet and Fluffy
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by JessL

Advantages: Funny in parts and easy to watch
Disadvantages: Some embarrassing scenes, poor jokes and messy

Having read the other reviews of The Sweetest Thing, I had to stand up for it - it really isn't that bad. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I don't regret buying it on DVD! Alright alright, stop heckling... THE STORYLINE Christina Walters (Cameron Diaz) is not your usual thirty-something singleton. Unlike say, Carrie Bradshaw of Sex And The City, she isn't searching for Mr Right. She has left a trail of heartbroken men in her wake, and insists ... Read review

Tune In, Gross Out, Turn Off
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by utero

Advantages: A few amusing moments,The lovely Ms Diaz
Disadvantages: Tired, lazy and generally unfunny

The Sweetest Thing is a comedy that stars Cameron Diaz and instantly you get the idea that this is one of those light rom com movies that don't amaze but don't offend either. You know the kind of movie that you don't admit to liking even though you do. Well this movie adopts the crass humour that the likes of American Pie and Something About Mary took all the way to bank. Sadly this is a film where it's too little and far too late. Diaz stars ... Read review

The Unfunniest Thing
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by rayliu

Advantages: Cameron Diaz flashing again, its a very short film (thank god), You get to see Christina Applegate (for fans of Married with Children)
Disadvantages: Stupid! Crap! Not Funny! Its out on DVD

...film is release here in the UK. Being head over heels with Cameron Diaz and wanting to see the girl that was once Kelly Bundy in the infamous Married with Children, I eagerly waited for this to be released here in the UK. It’s been at least half a year since it was released in the US, and it’s even out now on Region 1 DVD! Was it worth the wait? NO. A captial N and a capital O, NO! I know a lot of film critics panned this to death and it flopped ... Read review

OH CAMERON BABY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by flashpointz

Advantages: cast of 'A List' babes
Disadvantages: not funny, not witty, not clever, not worth watching

...males will flock to see the movie – tongues hanging out far enough to obscure any rational train of thought. That is, I assume, the reason why this flimsy romantic comedy (I use that word in it’s mildest form) by ‘Cruel Intentions’ director Roger Kumble actually got as far as a mainstream release. I must confess that having seen a poster and later on a trailer for this film, I thought it would be worth a laugh and the odd ogle or two. No harm ... Read review

Sort of Sweet
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by Spottydog11

Advantages: Cute
Disadvantages: Unmemorable

The Sweetest Thing The Sweetest Thing is a cute, romantic comedy chick flick. It was released in 2002 by Columbia Tristar. It features three friends and their lives basically. They are pretty much party girls and enjoy going out to bars, drinking and hooking up with cute men (sounds like a regular Friday night!!) Now, I did like this movie but I would not call it a classic, ie a chick flick that I would need to or want to see again and again. ... Read review

The rudest thing - I have ever seen
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by beckle_82

Advantages: Great casting, very funny
Disadvantages: Script, Plot

...extras: Commentaries Featurettes Trailers Mini biographies Plot: Christina Walters (Diaz) is the ultimate party girl. She doesn't want Mr Right, but Mr Right Now. Every guy in San Francisco has a story to tell about her. The ultimate man eater she uses them and throws them away - sobbing to camera. She lives with her lawyer friend Courtney (Applegate) and love-obsessed Jane (Blair.) When Jane gets dumped by her latest fella the girls decide ... Read review

The stench is unbearable
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by nicanddarrell

Advantages: Maybe for the boys
Disadvantages: Unfunny drivel

...film, and I thought that the cast line up looked pretty impressive, so decided to give the film a try. It is billed as a comedy/chick flick, and stars Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair, who are all far too young, far too slim, and far too damn gorgeous for my liking! I decided to watch it whilst hubby was on the computer in the same room, and within 5 minutes of it starting, I got the comment, "What crap are you watching now?" . I ... Read review

Just another gross-out comedy?
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by Pmshack99

Advantages: Fairly amusing, and a penis song!
Disadvantages: May not appeal to all. Not much substance.

...really, this should appeal to the girls who think it makes a nice change to see the girls getting up to mischief. And should appeal to guys who want to see - well, the girls getting up to mischief! In reality, this is probably not the case. In fact, the majority of people I know didn't like this film. I myself DID. Call me easily amused. I'll agree. But if you want a good laugh that you don't want to have to concentrate too hard on, you're on to ... Read review

First came love. Now the fun.
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by fwankiedoodle13

Advantages: Hilarious
Disadvantages: May be seen as too rude for some.

...this fantastic comedy based upon the rules of love. Christina Walters and her friend Jane Burns (Christina Applegate) come home to find their friend Courtney Rockcliffe (Selma Blair) devestated as she had just been dumped by her boyfriend. The pair team up to show their friend that she opened herself to love which is the wrong thing to do, so to help her get over it they all head out for a night out partying. Whilst out Christina unexpectedly meets ... Read review

I have never laughed so much...
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by joji

Advantages: absolutely hillarious
Disadvantages: can't think of one

...THis really has to be the funniest film I have seen. Just to illustrate how good it is, after being recommended it by a friend I went and got it out of the video shop on Two day rental and watched three times. Then when I took it back to the video shop I bought it there and then because I knew I would be wanting to watch it over and over. THE STORY Admittedly, the film hasn't got an amazing story line. It's only really got one major plot twist ... Read review

Little let down...
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by Flic666

Advantages: Top cast, great concept
Disadvantages: Not as funny as it could have been!

...seeing it, mainly due to the great cast, and funny trailers, but, unfortunately, the final product didn't live up to the hype. Christina (Diaz) is the ultimate "good time gal", who falls for a guy she meets at a bar, and follows him to his brothers wedding, but, her gamble doesn't pay off and she decides it's time to hang up her dancing shoes and try to settle down. What results is a lot of tasteless jokes, which appear for random reasons! Personally, ... Read review

Keep 'em coming
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by Lightpants

Advantages: So real, it almost hurts
Disadvantages: Might scare men who can't dare to imagine women could possibly be like this...

...that this is one of the funniest, wittiest, side splitting comedies I have seen for a long time. The women are gorgeous, successful and relatively well off. They also go out every weekend, use and abuse good looking men and get themselves stonking hangovers - much like the majority of single 20-somethings I have had the pleasure of meeting (and being). Whilst slightly far-fetched as far as the chase-the-wedding, terrible outfit from Ab Fab-type ... Read review

The Penis Song!
Review of The Sweetest Thing (DVD) by rachel16

Advantages: The Penis song!
Disadvantages: Not really sure - I loved this film!

...funny. After seeing it at the cinema with an unsuspecting boyfriend I couldn't wait to recommend this film to my girlfriends. For those with a nervous disposition it is a little rude and sometimes outragous, in fact it actually shocked some of my male friends! The plot follows three friends from San Fransico as they look for men. Cameron Diaz plays a fun loving girl who has lots of male "friends", but never really commits to one man. She doesn't ...
