Advantages: I will never get bored of watching 'The Snowman'; a beautiful Chirstmas tradition Disadvantages: Some may be annoyed that it has no dialogue, the animation may seem dated
...Christmas just wouldn't be the same without movies and television programmes; sure, there are a lot of repeats and some shows and films either excel or completely bomb when trying to spread the festive cheer but, for whatever reason, Christmas specials are compulsive viewing. Perhaps we are all too tipsy to care; perhaps we have eaten way too much food to be bothered to uncover the remote to find something decent to watch. Or perhaps, maybe we even ... ...- you will have seen the immortal Snowman at least once in your lifetime.
Well, to be fair, it's not as if you've had to really, really search for 'The Snowman' movie in some far away, distant corner of the internet; just about ever y Christmas Eve or even Christmas Day you will get a chance to watch the cartoon snowman come to life and amuse a little boy, making all of his wildest fantasies come true. Ok, now he is an adult, he may have fetishes ...

Advantages: Fun , Everyone will love it Disadvantages: None!
The Snowman is an animated film directed by Dianne Jackson and released in 1982 (twenty six years ago!). The film has a very simple storyline which consists of a little boy building a snowman and the snowman coming to life. Simple yet very effective.
I first seen this film when I was about seven or eight when I borrowed the VHS from my friend. I loved it ever since. I think adults as well as children will love this film as it just instantly grabs ... ...stands out for me is the soundtrack. Sang by welsh choirboy Aled Jones , the emotional "Walking In The Air" theme tune makes you wish that you were the little boy in the movie flying through the air , hand in hand with a snowman. It makes you want to be a kid all over again. It also makes you with that you were friends with the snowman because he's so friendly ; kids will love him! I love the old fashioned look this film has. I think this is one ...

Advantages: Delightful Christmas movie Disadvantages: none come on it's a Snowman
The Snowman.
I remember watching this film many years ago, and as I was bay sitting my nephew and niece before Christmas I thought what a delightful film to rent out,
I was a bit concerned that they may find it a bit dated now, but I must admit they were completely enthralled in it from beginning to end.
Introduced by Singing legend David Bowie, And written by Raymond Briggs, this is a delightful tale of a young boy, who upon one snowy night makes ... ...magic, later that night the Snowman comes to life.
Making himself known to the boy, the lad invites him into the house, a host of hilarity takes place as the Snowman tries out some of Mothers clothes and Dads pipe, but very nearly disaster strikes as the Snowman goes to warm his bum by the fire.
They decide its better to venture outside and soon set of on a wondrous journey.
Fun and frolics abound, including a mad motorbike ride, and a flight ...
