Review of The Sixth Sense (DVD)
Advantages: Bruce Wilis Disadvantages: Seeing dead people walking around like normal people makes you think a bit! :0)
The Sixth Sense was originally a book that was turned into a film earlier this year. It’s about a boy who keeps seeing dead people walking around like living people. A psychologist then tries to see what he sees. Bruce Willis does an excellent job in this film. He can act very well in thriller movies. The kid is a good actor too, especially good at acting afraid. Some people thought this was a horror film. I don’t think it is, mainly because horror ...

Advantages: Scary movie - wooooo Disadvantages: Doesn't totally make sence
The Sixth Sense is one of those movies that manages to make you think you've enjoyed yourself even when you haven't. This is mainly to do with the fact that it doesn't make sense at all... the movie is all about a little kid who can see dead people - and Bruce Willis is the psychologist that helps him out, only there is something about him you only find out towards the end... which I won't tell you if you haven't seen it. The little guy acts pretty ...

Advantages: Interesting Disadvantages: Cast was terrible.
...role. He didn't quite fit the character. Caring and compassionate is what was needed. I think more Robin Williams style. Willis was completely out of his depth in this role.
The character of the young boy was overacted, too intense. What I saw was not real fear (considering the situation) but completely hammy overdramatization. The strangeness was also not properly defined. His character was too full of contradictions. Shy and reserved one minute, ... ...- the basic idea was good, but this wasn't carried out throughout the movie. Too many things were left out. And it never was completely tied up. Too many loose ends. The end was disappointing. I feel that this "twist" was thought up in a few minutes. I was not impressed.
Overall the movie was interesting. A little scary at times (like the guy showing his father's gun). The character of the mother, however, was played brilliantly, demonstrating the ...

Advantages: Great ending, characters, plot, deserves watching a second time Disadvantages: NONE - GO SEE IT!!!
The Sixth Sense is the first film I have watched in a very long time where the ending has been a real surprise. Bruce Willis manages a sensitive performance as the child pschologist but the real star of the picture is the child who is entirely believable in every scene. I found myself becoming more and more involved with the plot and the characters.
I don't want to spoil the film for new viewers but suffice it to say - romance, suspense and reality ...

Review of The Sixth Sense (DVD)
I went to the cinema to see this film without knowing anything about it. I knew nothing of a twist and was lead blindly through the plot by the innocence of gulability!!! When the twist appeared at the end I was completely unaware of it happening and it hit me like a freight train!!! SUPERB!!! I could not believe Bruce Willis could play a decent role in a film after Die hard and Hudson Hawk. I was wrong. The way the twist is staring you in the face ...

Advantages: Great thriller, suspense is incredible. Disadvantages: Sad ending.
...I decided to really push the boat out and get a film off the Sky box office. Boy am I glad I did! I dont know why I haven't watched sixth sense before because it is truely a fantastic film.
Sixth Sense is a film about a little boy who can see the dead, mostly wherever he goes he can see what has happended and eventually he learns to communicate with the spirit's. Bruce Willis also starres alongside the boy actor Haley Joel Osmet who playes Cole ... ...The two form an unlikely friendship which is driven together by there similar need to lay their own ghosts. Malcolm's being his dire need, to disperse of his sense of failure, as a therapist and a husband. And Cole is retreating further and further into the madness the Visions cause him.
Neither of their ghosts are what they appear to be. Not giving the story away, they both realise that there will be an advantage in the end which really has to ...

Advantages: A great twist and an excellent film Disadvantages: Don't think it's got that special quality to make you want to watch it again and again
...I was not dissappointed. The twist in this film was superb, I didn't have a clue that it was coming right up until it happened, although my husband claimed to have figured it out minutes into the film but magnanimously didn't tell me about it because he didn't want to spoil it for me (hm, not sure I believe him!)
I loved the film at the cinema and told all of my friends to go and see it, the only thing that concerns me about the film on DVD is that ... ...the build up, and the revelation itself might be completely lost. I don't think that this is a film that you could watch again and again, and for me that is what it takes for me to splash out on a DVD (I'm too mean to buy something I won't get my money's worth out of!)
However, I would recommend this DVD to anybody who has seen the film more than once and still loves it! ...

Advantages: Good actors. Scary. Exciting. Music. Dialogue. Good extras Disadvantages: Not enough extras
This film is great. The films is so full of suspense you don't know how they can fit it no one DVD. You really cannot tell what is going on until it is explained to you at the end some people I know said they could see the twist from the beginning but I couldn't. This is about a child psychologist who meets a boy who can talk to dead people. The film is well directed with great camera angles, music and dialogue. SOme parts made us jumped out of our ...

Having watched the Sixth Sense on video and enjoyed it I thought I would watch it again on DVD. The film is really good and to jog your memory the plot is as follows. Bruce Willis plays Dr. Malcolm Crowe a child psychologist, who helps a little boy Cole Sear played by the brilliant Haley Joel Osment who sees ‘dead people’.
The twist at the end keeps the film going to the end. A very good story line and don’t worry you won’t ... ...very disappointed. Anyway, the DVD contains a lot of:
Storyboard to film comparison, The Cast, Music And Sound Design, Reaching The Audience, Rules and Clues - Background to the film, Deleted Scenes, A Conversation with M. Night Shyamalan, 3 Trailers, Filmmaker/Cast Biographies.
The deleted scense were a really good watch as were the cast biographies. You certainly learnt much more about both the film and actors.
If you have nothing else to do ...

Advantages: great twist, arguably scary, fairly interesting Disadvantages: rather slow...
Unfortunately, the ending to this film was spoilt for me several times by various friends, so i was unable to experiance the unexpected shock of the twist at the end. Although some would say that the twist is what makes the movie wot=rth watching, i still enjyed it immensely. Bruce Willis plays a believable child psychologist/husband. The little boy who co-stars is terrific and is as spooky as the movie's creator probably intended him to be. The ... ...visually striking and "pleasing" to the eye. The movie provoked good discussion of some of the unexplained elements within the movie. The special effects are acceptable, which I think is good because extraordinary effects would have distracted from the story line. however, the first half of the movies is very slow (you might fall asleep if you are tired). The entire movie does not pick up to a fast pace so don't watch it if you are wanting a good ...

When the Sixth Sense was released it was to mch critical acclaim. Great pains were taken to not give away the plot line because to do so would be an absolute crime. In the same way, I will endevour not to say too much here, but suffice to say itis quite excellent, if when looked at afterwards very simplistic and not exactly flawless.
Bruce Willis plays a child psychologist who becomes rather obsessed with the case of one young boy who claims to ... ...come to terms with this...is the story on the outside anyway. It sounds very simple, but trust me, this movie is far better than that simple sounding plot can convey.
This is easily one of Bruce Willis's best performances, offering him a serious, more sympathetic role rather than the action hero/hard man role which he is so used to playing. he carries the part with consumate ease and is highly impressive. The movie also introduces us to another ...

Advantages: Fantastic original twist to entertain any thriller fan Disadvantages: Becomes slow when watching the first time around
The Sixth Sense is a disturbing modern day thriller exposing what may lie after death. Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment) is a young boy with what some may call a gift, known to us as The Sixth Sense hence the title. A child psychologist, Dr. Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis) meets the disturbed child and does everything in his power to help him. Crowe is reminded of an old patient he failed to help and sees this as a chance to redeem himself. Cole’s gift ... ...this is rarely displayed to the audience, he reveals his secret to Crowe. The doctor is sceptic, and seeks his own evidence. After using hints dropped by Cole, he replays a cassette tape from his failed patient. Only at full volume does he hear what he can only label as the dead. There is an interesting sub-plot to the film following Crowe’s marriage with a woman called Anna (Olivia Williams).
The film is set in Shyamalan’s hometown of Philadelphia ...
