...had to go and see the Sixth Sense. I was assured that I would never guess the ending, although I am usually quite good at figuring these things out.
The entire film was outstanding. Bruce Willis protrayed a child psychiatrist in the film and he acted brilliant. On watching the film I could not figure out how it could end and was utterly stunned at the end, although when you do know, it is then obvious that there are clues all the way through the ...

...does a good job as the boy’s psychiatrist, but the star of the film is Haley Joel Osment who plays Cole (the young boy), definitely equalling the standards of Bruce Willis if not beating them at an age of only about nine or ten which is brilliant. He’ll grow up to be a great actor.
A psychiatrist called Malcolm (Bruce Willis) is helping the boy because his parents had recently split up divorced. Cole (Osment) tells Malcolm his secret about being ... ...and to try and help the ghosts.
Malcolm leaves Cole after helping him, to spend more time with his wife and the film has an unpredictable twisty end, but I’ll keep that a secret and not spoil the film for you.
The sixth sense is masterpiece of thrills and chills, brilliant photography and superb acting from all the cast especially Haley Joel Osment. This is a must see ‘must see twice’ film so go and rent it NOW. Go on. You’re still here.

Advantages: interesting concepts Disadvantages: takes a while to get into the story
...an interesting film because of the point of view it is shown from. Although I've never believed in the supernatural and never will, the way the film is written really puts you in the position of the character who doesn't believe in "the living dead", but an innovative twist to do with the main character himself makes the person watching the film really relate to him and opens a whole new world contained in the film of the viewer imagining the supernatural.

...you do. I thought that the storyline was just very excellent and the acting was second to no other film. Many people think that this is a sad film, but then they must be sad aswell. I think this was a powerful film, much better than any other films Bruce Willis has stared in. Also, the boy in it - i dont know his name - was a good actor, and there was an atmospheric tension in the film. Buy it, rent it, you won't be dissapointed. ...

Advantages: The famous twist in the tale Disadvantages: None
...it remains relatively unsentimental.
The movie centres around 10 years old Cole (Haley Joel Osment) who has the unfortunate 'gift' (?) of being able to see 'dead people' day and night and, as if this wasn't bad enough, he becomes isolated from his classmates who have nicknamed him 'freak'. Thank God for Bruce Willis, saving the day as usual, but this time minus his bloodstained vest and without a German terrorist in sight. He plays a child psychologist ... ...by ex-New Kid on the Block Donnie Walhberg in the opening scene).
Most of the credit for the film's success must surely go to Osment showing remarkable talent in his portrayal of the laconic schoolboy. His unassuming screen presence is unlike any of the attention-seeking brats who have previously made it to the big screen. This is a young actor rather than a 'child star'. His eyes evoke such a convincing sense of inner torment that you cannot help ...

...you have see some of the less impressive Bruce Willis films and thought I won't bother watching that he's in it. Well think again this is a good performance and he keeps his vest hidden throughout the whole film.
it is hard to say much about the plot without giving a lot away but it about a boy who can see dead people and the Phsyciatrist that trys to help him.
The young boys performance is also excellent and he carries the film as much as Willis.

...entering a luxurious theatre for the exclusive preview of The Sixth Sense, I immediately expected a boxoffice hit; which is, in the US. That's with this high rating I gave to The Sixth Sense. Written and acted beautifully, The Sixth Sense owed much to director M. Night Shyamalan which did such a good job that he left millions like me horrified throughout the movie until the credits rolled. The Sixth Sense is a movie that revolves around the lifes ... ...former patient (Donnie Wahlberg) with the same problem as Cole, seeing apparations and was too frightened to tell anyone. Until they could not stand it anymore. Even before the 'exciting parts' begin, chills were already sent down my back as the story unfolds its multiple flaps. The plotline develops gradually with understanding ease though, I think a few may find it too slow. As each scene unfolds, especially when the 'dead people' appear, I could ...

Advantages: Fantastic performances, particularly Toni Collette and Haley Joel Osment Disadvantages: If someones already ruined it for you
Sixth sense was the first DVD I ever rented to watch on my laptop at home. I was in a bit of a rush as I had nearly been told the twist so may times I was considering a hermit. But I managed to save myself, and boy was I glad I did, this is one of those films where it wouldn't be the same if you knew it, and being blissfully ignorant certainly does make it a real "must see twice film". The DVD hasd lots of cool special features, a LOT of cut out ...

In the '90s we've been constantly bored with horror movies: the Scream trilogy, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and so on and so on. Finally a horror film that gives depth to it's characters! This is just a great old-fashioned ghost story. What better place to set a ghost story than in Philadelphia? Every building has a history behind it (including young Cole's school). Any film that drops clues (the color red) and demands repeated viewings is worth ... ...lines in the movie, truley gives the year's best supporting performance (sorry Michael Caine). The movie grabs you immediately in the first five minutes and gives one of the best endings in recent memory. This is the role Bruce Willis will be best remembered. Also impressive is Toni Collete as Lynn Sear, the mother of Cole who feels so hopeless in helping her obviously torchured son. She makes triangle pancakes for him, takes him for a joy ride in ...

Advantages: The acting and plot Disadvantages: none that I can think of!
...this is definately one of the best films of the year!
The acting was outstanding especially that of the kid (Hayley Osmond is it?) It was refreshing to see Bruce Willis in such a sensitive role rather than the action hero role that were use to. He fitted the part perfectly.
The plot was excelent very refreshing and different from anything I've ever seen before especially the sting in the tail ending which gave the film an entirely new twist. I ... ...with new eyes would make the film ever better.
The special effects, plot, acting and basically everything within this film was excelent definately worth the money! This was scarier than the Blair Witch Project by far and at times had me jumping out of my seat more from short, sharp, shocks than a long drawn out fear throughout the film.
All I can say is see it as soon as possible! ...

Having watched this film The Sixth Sense at the cienam’s previously with my frineds, so I thought it was worth a second watch, so I ordered it from Sky Box office , and watched it with the rest of my family. The film was not disappointing, with a great twist at the end, leaving you bewildered and kicking your self as to why you did not put the earlier clue together. The storyline itself is as follows, a child psychologist Malcolm Crowe played ... ...so when he appears in the next scene we assume he lives. Anyway to make a mend for the other patient, he sets out to help a young boy who is having problems both at home and at school, he has a secret which he later confesses to the doctor. This film is mixed with scenes of humour, the classroom scene was one that brought a smile to our faces. You can not write an opinion on this film without mentioning the superb Hayley Osment who plays Cole Star, ...

Advantages: Great film, with plenty of added footage and interviews to enhance the experience. Disadvantages: Everyone and his dog now knows there is a twist...
The surprise smash hit of last autumn, when it overtook the seemingly unstoppable Blair Witch Project at the box-office both here and in the US, its word-of-mouth reputation and post-viewing discussion have been on a par with The Usual Suspects. Yes, there is an almighty twist waiting for you at the end of this film - one which, by and large, has not been widely revealed by media killjoys. Whether your friends and colleagues have given the game away ... ...important and intrinsic to both the whole experience and the film's impact that to divulge even the slightest clue would be to seriously spoil any appreciation or enjoyment. In fact, just knowing there *is* some kind of twist might be enough to dampen the thrill of this expertly constructed and executed psychological thriller.
A scenario where Bruce Willis helps a troubled young boy will probably bring 1998's crtically-derided Mercury Rising immediately ...

Advantages: Good story, fantastic acting, great directing Disadvantages: Ofter very dark in film
The first time I saw the sixth sense I was amazed. It was the best film I had seen for ages. So original and so unpredictable. The way the atmosphere is created by the very effective music is very clever indeed. At one point in the film, when he sees a ghost, there is a very loud bang and everyone in the cimema, without exception, jumped. It was the very first film made by the director and writer, M. Night Shymalan. On the video there is a lot of ... ...it. Spookily this came true. The film was actually released on Night Shymalan's birthday. Against all the odds it went to number 1 at the box office against very strong opposition, namely the film Runaway Bride. It made the boy in the film, Haley Joel Osment, an instant star at the age of only 8.
He was amazed how popular it became, and the almost cult following it had. Unlike Blair Witch, it was not all hype, and it was the quality of the film ...

This is one of the best films which has ever been released. The Sixth Sense has a story line with Bruce Willis which plays a great act. I find this film one of the best as there is action right from the start right through to the end. The story is about this little boy who can see ghosts all around him and they try talking to him, he sees what they do and how they are killed. The film has good build up and a good ending and has a lot of effective ... ...the screen. I rate this film one of the best films that has ever been around.
