Although long-awaited, the Simpsons Movie was finally released in 2007 with the show at a widely-accepted low ebb. I think many who went to see it probably had mixed expectations; the release of something that had been in the pipeline so long was an exciting prospect, although it had been that long since the show had produced a run of consistently good episodes, only the optimistic or ardently faithful would have been predicting a return to the series' ...
