The Simpsons: Backstage Pass is a collection of four episodes featuring some of the best bands of the past and the present. The four episodes are "Homerpalooza", "A Tale of Two Springfields", "The Otto Show" and "Homer's Barbershop Quartet".
"Homerpalooza" is one of my personal favourites and concerns Homer, who seems to be having a mid-life crisis, so he takes Bart and Lisa to the Hullabalooza festival where, through some bizarre coincidences that ... ...star dreams by touring with the festival. The bands here are amazing, from classic rockers (Peter Frampton) to newer, indie rock (Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins) and really shows the difference in musical tastes between then and when the show started, and also since Homer was a teenager as well.
"A Tale of Two Springfields" is about the phone company giving Springfield a new area code. Homer is incensed by this, and leads a revolt, taking whoever ...

Advantages: Audio-visual equivalent of Prozac Disadvantages: Only lasts for 87 mins, costly if collecting
...every single VHS video in the collection and although I can't wait for the new releases, it's another £12.99 to shell out as well unfortunately.
Still, I don't mind The Simpsons money-machine taking my hard earned if the quality is of this standard every time. On this special musically themed video (as all the others, bar the series' are), the most amous family in the world become involved in different scenarios - each one hilarious.
In Episode ... ...divide in their town.
However, The Who (Roger Daltrey et al.) are booked to play Springfield and unfortunately for Homer, the Stadium they are to play is not in their territory. Episode closes The Who giving it stick...cool!!
Best Quotes are:
Moe on the telecommunications industry's area code.
"Homer's right, we're gettin' the Joan Collins special!"
Roger Daltrey on the problem.
"Why not buy phones with auto-ringer, or as you Yanks say, Speed-dial?"

Advantages: Four great episodes of the Simpsons and on DVD! Disadvantages: Only four episodes!
...music theme, four great episodes! The Simpsons have made a move from VHS and the producers have started to distribute episodes on DVD, which in my opinion is so much better. With the DVD version you have a lot better sound and colour quality, oh, and there's no rewinding! The episodes found on this DVD are Homerpalooza, A Tale of Two Springfields, The Otto Show and Homer's Barbershop quartet.
Here are the lists of episodes with information about ... ...each of the episodes and my personal opinion on each. There are in order of how they appear on the video. They act as a memory refresher to those of you who have seen them and a taster for those of you who
haven't.

Advantages: some good bits and great effects Disadvantages: bad timing and events
...unfortuanatley this is not good. The episodes are certainly not the best and it kind of gets your mind saying why are these yellow blobbs that are crazy on my television screen as it is poor. There are some good bits in it but really, I don't like this DVD at all. It's the sort of one that some people will like and some people will not as it all depends if you actaully like The Simpsons or not as personally I am not that fond of them. However it's ...
