The thing to remember about Rocky Horror is that what happens on screen is only half of the story. The other half is happening in the audience. Readers won't need me to explain about the audience participation, but it's worth remembering that screenings of the film are more like a pantomime, a highly enjoyable, somewhat sexy but fundamentally innocent game. Taking the film alone, it's easy to write it off as a low budget indulgence but what saves ...

...I'm not talking about the film, which had excellent picture and sound quality as you would expect from a DVD, but about the extras which were a big disapointment in my oppinion. Yes there are some good bits, some interesting interviews and the commentary gives an extra insight in to the film, but most of the other bits were of very poor quality and could easily have been left out. For instance, the outtakes which were just a couple of scenes that ...

We've all heard the songs and many of us have "Time Warped" at parties when the drink has been flowing. Whilst the film is great the live show is even better. The atmosphere is unbelievable with everyone singing and dancing and dressed the part. If you've never seen the film watch it, better still go and watch the live show - after all where else ...

...to life in a movie. The entire movie including lyrics was written by Richard O'brian who stars in the movie as Riff-Raff a handy man. It is one of the best modern musicals and has become a major cult classic over the years. It is still specially screened in some cinemas around the world and the stageshow tours many countries. ...the actors in the movie manage to pull off their roles pretty damn well! And the singing is great. The special effects aren't up to much and look really dated but the actual story and movie in itself can't be beaten. The first time I watched this i had absolutely no idea what it was about, and i can tell you i was a little shcoked to say the least. But after the first 20 minutes i eally got into it. The beginning is cheesy, but it is supposed to be so bear with it. The film does come from a stage play and a musical, and after watching the film i had o see it on the stage, the atmosphere is amazing. Rocky Horror has an amazing fan database. ...part of it. The storyline, though outlandish and perhaps not the most excellent one, is compelling and interesting and original to say the least. My favourite character is probably Eddie, although he only makes a short appearance....as he is played by Meat Loaf. Who i am also a great fan. Tim Curry (also in Muppet Treasure Island and Annie) is definately a great Frank n Furter. His voice is sexy, and he has that X factor, hes not particularly good ...

...was younger my Nan had the video of Rocky Horror Picture Show.I was completely amazed, it was so good!!!Any way since then i visist my Nan and im always watching it. I once went to watch it at a theatre, everone dressed up, it was a great laugh.If you like Rocky, the theatre performance is a must.Im wanting to watch it again.Its very funny! There is alot of audience participation, and you even get to stand up and do/attempt the timewarp routine. ...

i have watched the dvd of this and i think that its good as you can select the scenes that you want to watch for ure fav parts of the film. The only thing is that it can be a bit boring at times and u lose the plot of what is actually going on. but it makes up for it in the costumes and music. such songs include the time warp, touch me and janet. i think the story is about two people getting stranded by their broken down car and having to stay ...
...it. I especially like the character played by tim curry as i now know wat hes called from the replies i have got lol (soz for my stupidity) I would advise anyone who has an interest in fish net stockings and high heels and good quality music to buy this as it is worth the watch. ...

The best show i have seen not just the show but the array of costumes worn by the audience alone made you stay until the final call to go in to take your seats men and women dressed up (or down) and participating in the show. jonathan wilkes played lead role with kevin kenedy as narator (curly from corry)jonathan wilkes got very good and strong voice (and sexy body in a basque) brilliant acting and singing took audience participation in stride ...
