The first time I watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show was a real let-down. This was in 1975, after having had my fill of The Rocky Horror Show in the King’s Road Theatre. ...see it at once!!! The best way is still to go to the cinema or to the stage production, but a close second is this DVD release. I am talking about the 25th Anniversary double dvd boxset. I never really understood the appeal of this film until I heard the music and watched the film. Yes, I know that sounds faintly loopy – but you know what I mean. You hear people talking about it. ...fruity, it's FANG-tastic - It's the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! To be truthful, it took me a few years to understand what all the fuss was about with this film. A bunch of weirdos and cross-dressers prancing about did not seem to hold much appeal to me then.
