Advantages: Some jumpy moments Disadvantages: Extremely dull
Following on from the events in the first film, Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) have now moved to a small town in order to start their life over again after the horrific events that occurred to them previously. Rachel has now got a job at a local newspaper in order to spend more time with her son however when a teenager dies in very extraordinary circumstances, Rachel feels that his death is all too familiar. That’s ... ...into Aidan…
I enjoyed the first film although it was rather slow, this film however is terrible. There seems to be nothing redeemable about it. The director has tried to break away from very simple but effective premise of the first film, that being of course that after you’ve watched the video tape you’ll be dead in exactly seven days. This film has been made more complicated than that. It hardly uses the video aspect of it at all which is what ...

If you're a big horror fan, you will love this one. I do advise you to watch The Ring before you watch The Ring Two, it will give you a good background to start off on.
This is a horror story about a an investigative reporter who tries to escape ... ...copies have been made of the tape. If you watch the tape, it is almost certain that you're going to die, and it's not going to be a nice way either. The content of the tape is some weird black and white shots of things. These are explained in the story.

Advantages: Not too disturbing, definitely watchable and sequels are always good because you know the characters Disadvantages: Not quite as good as the first!
...Like most people I found The Ring 1 extremely disturbing, and it took me a while to pluck up the courage to watch the sequel. The main reason I watched The Ring 2 was in the hope of an ending, where all would be explained and evil laid to rest - Mmm, not so. It definitely was scary and disturbing, especially because her little boy Aiden seems to be getting the worst of it, but I have got to admit it didn't scare and upset me anywhere near as much ... ...few drinks, whereas I watched The Ring 1 with my husband sober, but I did still jump at some scenes!
The storyline is fairly strong and the special effects very good, but in my opinion it just didn't have that gripping, disturbing fear factor that makes your heart pound like the first one.
Going by the final scene the evil little girl with the black hair isn't exactly laid to rest and it is therefore left open for a further film, so watch this ...
