Based on the fantastic book by Nicholas Sparks, this film is his usual style. It's a happy story to begin with but things always go wrong. If you don't like love-stories and kleenex films don't watch this. It's starts with an old man named Duke telling a story to a old woman who has alsimers, the story is about a man and woman called Noah & Allie. Noah's a labour worker while Allie is a rich girl with her whole life in front of her whereas Noah ...
...and falling in love for the first time, I can't give to much away without wrecking the whole story but when Allie has to go to college and Noah is called to go in the army they are broken apart, their summer love ends. He writes to her for a whole year but she doesn't get any of the letters, so she falls in love again. I'd recommend this film to anyone, I read the book before I saw this film as I do prefer the story in the book to what is on film ...

...told we were going to the cinema one night and we would need to chose a film to watch. it was a tie between this and shrek and considering on the trip it was only 7 girls, the notebook seemed an obvious choice - not that our male teacher agreed with us! The Notebook is a film that is deliberately made to make everyone watching it cry, it definitely tugs at your heartstrings,good for anyone that is a sucker for love and enjoys watching romantic movies. ...time!! It is based on the book by Nicholas Sparks, althought i haven't read the book I wish to in the future. The film is about two people falling in love as teenages and finding eachother again later in life with a tear jerking twist. The perfect romantic story and after seeing it every girl will be searching for their Noah! I rate this film 10 out of 10 for sure and recommend it for a girlie night in but you will need the box of tissues handy!! ...

By far this is the best film that I have ever seen, I bought it from Tescos and watched it that night with my partner, I really got in to it and felt as if I myself were Allie. The story is so full of emotion and a real tearjerker. One of the best films by far.
