Advantages: Not too gory. Has a bit of everything - action, adventure, comedy, historical interest and love...
Disadvantages: A little disappointing with some of the special effects.

The Mummy Returns, written and directed by Stephen (Van Helsing) Sommers, is a big budget special effects-driven action extravaganza. However, it's not a particularly good one, especially when you compare it to films such as Spider-man or X-men. ...as I had recently seen the third and first of the films, decided it was best to review them in order! Firstly a piece of advice, although I will try my absolute best not to plonk in any big spoilers here (with regard to the first film - this will be hard) I think it is best not to see this review until you've watched the first film. Advantages: Rick, Evie, and Jonathan are back
Disadvantages: A few things were inconsistent with similar events in the first Mummy movie.

All of the main characters are back in The Mummy Returns. There are lots of things that are similar to the first movie, and I liked that. There are lots of special effects again - though one toward the end of the movie wasn't as good as it could have been. Some may think this movie is over the top and stupid. Maybe it is.
