The MOVIE begins at a syncopated rythm. It moves from the motionful, spectacular, suspended action to almost reflexive atmospheres. It continues alternating them, to become, successively, always faster and spectacular, keeping vivid the story and alive the suspense. Yeah! A real terrific movie!! The idea of the movie is intriguing and could it possibly be true? Humankind has been enslaved by octopus type aliens (possible man made - not sure, I'll explain later.) and forced to live in a virtual world. This film is the reason the DVD player was made, it shows off the excellent sound and picture qualities! The last fight scene in the top of the building is a good enough reason for buying this film on its own - a special effects master piece. The actors give fairly good performances and with a fairly well-known cast don't overdo their fame levels - Keanu Reeves adds many an exciting action scene and many there are in this film. If you want a deeply involving story it is not that good but taken for what it is you will be amazed by the incredible special effects and action scenes including martial arts which the wachowski brothers are masters of.
